Erik M Johnson, P.E.

Erik earned his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois in 2010. He began his career in construction project management, working on large commercial and residential projects in the Chicagoland area. He gained experience managing complex projects and construction teams, coordinating MEP, and performing site superintendent duties.

After gaining a core in construction knowledge, he moved to a design firm in Chicago where he worked on a variety of large scale civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges and highways including the $600M O’Hare runway and taxiway expansion projects.

In 2015, he and his wife Amanda decided to move up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where Erik worked as an Accuracy Control Engineer at Fincantieri Marinette Marine for the LCS Navy Littoral Combat ships, and then later as a structural engineer at U.P. Engineers and Architects (UPEA).

Erik has gained extensive experience in structural and civil engineering for residential, commercial and industrial projects. He is able to perform services from conception thru completion of complex engineering projects. He is currently a licensed professional engineer in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
